WPCC
Challenge
In September of 2008, Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) contracted with Web Full Circle to create a new website for the College. At this time, the College was using a website that had been developed in-house and lacked dynamics, usability, and eye appeal. The site was also very difficult to manage because only a couple of people on campus were proficient enough with Microsoft FrontPage to make edits. WPCC wanted a website that was well-structured and user friendly, organized on the home page, and that was simple to navigate no matter where you were at in the site. In addition, WPCC required a site that was easy for a number of non-technical people to add and modify content.
Working through multiple meetings with the College board and staff, Web Full Circle guided the design and flow of the site so that it exceeded all of the clients goals and needs. In addition, since going live, WPCC has created hundreds of new web pages and expanded the scope and depth of the site. Our Content Management System has allowed WPCC to delegate responsibility for the development of web content to several divisional-level personnel who have not had extensive training in web page development, but are very proficient in document design and content editing. The CMS allows these folks to quickly and easily design attractive and functional pages for their divisions or departments.
